Every nun has one scheduled hour of Eucharistic adoration each day. In addition to this, she has nightly adoration twice a week. The term "free time" refers to the period each day when the nuns can spend additional time in prayer, spiritual reading, exercise, and so on. Apart from the hour of recreation in the evenings, the nuns spend their days in silence (except when speaking is necessary for work).
